Arun Nursery School is a Play-School/ Kindergarten established on September 04, 1972 with The Mother's Blessings in Kolkata. The pre-primary school owes its existence to the singular efforts of Shri Arun Tagore. Hence the Mother named the School after him.

The Primary school opened a new campus in 2013 at 110, Satindra Pally, Garia off Boral Main Road, Kolkata. Both campus have identical principles, objectives and methodology.

 

THEME TEACHING


Arun Nursery Primary School has embraced the concept of 'Theme Teaching'.

This approach emphasizes the Concept over Content and helps the child develop a holistic outlook towards life.

 Learning and social skills, as well as important concepts, are developed in children through this approach.

It has been found that the children who have been exposed to this method of teaching have developed greater self-confidence, awareness, thinking skills and learning readiness.

For Example-

  1. Theme Red- Identifying  red objects.
  2. Theme Animals- Identifying animal shelters.
  3. Theme Plants- Taking care of plants.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Physical Education is an Important part of growing up. Various Kinds of Sport Activities and daily exercises can help the children integrate physical fitness.

For Example- 
  1.  Yoga
  2. Free-Hand Exercises
  3. Gymnastics
  4. Football
  5. Free- Play.

VITAL EDUCATION


Arun Nursery strongly believes and encourages the Child to experience the world at large, rather than focusing only on Text book knowledge.

Development of the child's character, sense of beauty and the power of observation are the most important factors in the growth of the child, which is given utmost importance.

  4. Art and Craft classes,
  5. Learning Simple chores to become self reliant,
